Python is used across various industries to help solve various problems. Sports Analytics, the systematic analysis of information in the context of various sports is one field where Python is a major contributor in competition with R. In this discussion I outline the most common uses of Python in my work in the National Hockey League to help improve management's decision making.

He has been involved in hockey analytics for the past half decade from his early days of public researching in the hockey analytics blogosphere and CanucksArmy.com. He has studied hockey analytics in the context of applications for Machine Learning at the University of Ottawa and is now applying his trade with the Florida Panthers in the National Hockey league.
